Dog Hair as a cash crop

OK, I have a German Shepherd – or a hair factory, depending on your perspective. I comb him. I vacuum. I have dog hair covered floors. Seriously, is there a market for dog hair?

I read a brilliant suggestion from somewhere about putting dog fur out for the birds to collect as nesting material. Your local feathered friends might like a soft mattress 🙂

I’ve often thought the same thing, I could make a whole other dog from all of the fur after a brushing!

I’ve actually seen some brilliant/insane people spin dog fur into yarn, and then make sweaters out of it…
